Atoosa Mahdavian is a commercial litigation lawyer with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to establishing her own litigation practice, she was a partner at a leading Bay Street firm. She has served on the executive of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association.
In addition to her professional experience, Atoosa has been actively involved in various initiatives focused on advancing the Iranian Canadian community. She was the co-founder and founding president of the Iranian Canadian Lawyers Association and was the co-founder and Chair of the Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals. She also played an active role in bringing the first Iranian Canadian Women’s Leadership Conference to Toronto in 2017. Atoosa was previously recognized by the Iranian-Canadian Network as an Iranian-Canadian woman who has shown leadership in her profession and is seen as an inspiration for the community.
Atoosa was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. She received her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She obtained her B.A., Honours in English Literature from McGill University in 1992, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
